Interview with Courtney Roberts

Go to Page 48

Courtney Roberts, MA, is the director of Canaveral Research, and the Kepler Conference coordinator; a unique platform dedicated to building a better future for astrology & astrologers, starting with reliable, replicable research results.  By holding astrology to the same high standards as any other professional field, and continually compiling & compounding the body of evidence for planetary influence, we can develop increasingly reliable products & services that expand opportunities for astrologers everywhere.  Isn’t it about time?

More About Courtney R.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Courtney has spent a lifetime in the field, in consulting, publishing, research & organizational work.  A graduate of the revolutionary Master’s program in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at Bath Spa University in England, Courtney developed her academic specialization in the role of astrology in the history of science and religion; particularly Persian Zoroastrianism and western monotheism.

Her research on ancient Persian astrology and its influence on 1st century Judean messianic expectations can be found in The Star of the Magi (2007)  Her intriguing research into the distinct astrological patterns of Marian apparitions and the people who see them can be found in Visions of the Virgin Mary (2004).

Courtney has published literally hundreds of articles in top astrological publications like The Mountain Astrologer, Dell Horoscope, StarIQ.com, ISAR’s International Astrologer and the Journal of the British Astrological Association, etc.  Her extensive sports data collections and league histories are published by AstroLabe, Inc., in the Astrodatabank and in Cosmic Patterns software.

Courtney was recently invited to edit Correlation, the British Astrological Association’s esteemed peer-reviewed Journal of Research in Astrology.  Her first issue is due out in early 2018.

She has lectured for astrology conferences and organizations all over the world, and is currently hard at work on the sweeping Canaveral Research/Kepler Conference agenda, and on building the astrological big data platform.

In her own work, Courtney has generated intriguing results in quantitative studies on sports, psychometrics, and the Gauquelin sectors. Along with Rahul Thakur, MS, she has made great inroads in developing research as the bridge between western & Vedic astrology; revealing the inner consistencies of both systems, while combining and correlating results for even greater accuracy, as iron sharpens iron.

She has collaborated with the foremost astrological researchers around the world on a range of exciting projects, publications and educational initiatives, while gradually carving out her own niche as an historian, and compiler of the growing body of evidence for planetary influence.

Courtney has worked, taught & lectured all over the world; from Harvard to Maynooth, Ireland, and from Zen monasteries in South Korea to Princess Noura & King Faisel Universities in Saudi Arabia. She brings a wealth of experience in other fields to her research work, including many years as an entrepreneur of a successful entertainment design company and as an instructor in both ESL and the performing arts.

With Your Help, We Are Building the Future of Astrology

David Cochrane

Cosmic Patterns Software

"I have been attending astrology conferences since 1972...

The Kepler Conference is the best one ever!

I learned something new and of value in every lecture. I have never experienced this before. I also learned a lot during breaks, lunch meetings, etc. I have never attended so many brilliant presentations.

This is much more than just another conference. It’s a new movement in astrology.

Astrology is at last entering the 21st century! "

Alex Trenoweth, MA

"Courtney Roberts was able to assemble a fine and diverse cast of researchers for this groundbreaking conference…

Most of us came away with the clear idea that we had set a very high bar for future astrology conferences.  We… also felt we had thrown down the gauntlet to the scientific community who continue to disregard astrology as medieval superstition.

I think this was one of the best astrology conferences I've ever been to!

I think we made history this weekend."

Will Morris, PhD

Thanks to Courtney Roberts!

"This conference was packed with useful information and ... the highest levels of dialogue I have experienced, including astrological conferences, innovations in medical education conferences at USC, Chinese medicine conferences and international conferences on qualitative inquiry.

This was a landmark moment.

Anyone who thinks of astrology as pseudoscience is clearly not approaching the problem scientifically!"

Bill Meridian Sarubbi, MBA

Cycles Research & Investments

"There was more solid research results per hour and good information per square meter in this conference than in any conference I can recall."

Boaz Fyler

Evolutionary Astrologer, Israel

... truly a privilege!

So glad I made the trip. ...this conference will have a profound influence on the way I see the future of Astrology,  and our part in aiding it on its way.

Glenn Perry, PhD

'The more credible a field, the more widely utilized it will be.  Enhancing the credibility of astrology benefits not only the larger community, but every person who aspires to be an astrologer.'
